Educational Seminar for European Educators 2019

Home to the intellectual and cultural treasures of Israel and the Jewish people, the National Library of Israel (NLI) has recently embarked on a visionary journey of renewal, incorporating a wide range of initiatives to preserve and make these treasures available to diverse audiences in Israel and across the globe. Situated in Jerusalem, the NLI holds the world's largest collection of Judaica including maps, archives, manuscripts, posters, photographs, music and much more.

The Education Department at the NLI produces activities and online content using primary sources from the Library’s vast collections using advanced pedagogical and technological tools and methods to facilitate their use by educators around the world.

You are invited to apply for a unique opportunity for educators in European Jewish schools and organisations to enrich your teaching through a week of creativity and learning inspired by the fascinating and extensive resources of the National Library of Israel.

While December is winter in Europe and Jerusalem, we will look forward to spring and the Jewish holidays of Pesach, Yom Ha'atzmaut, Yom Yerushalayim and Shavuot. We will work together to share ideas and discover new materials and innovative methods with the Education team at the National Library.

The seminar will include hands-on activities, lectures, discussions and workshops at the NLI, meetings with Israeli teachers, educators and enrichment tours.
